Shopping:
Harlow and Bishop’s Stortford are roughly three miles and Chelmsford nine miles. Each town offers a range of shops from Debenhams to Primark along with a wealth of local stores. Lakeside and Blue water are approximately an hour’s drive away and Freeport designer village thirty minutes drive to Braintree.
If antiques are more your scene then there is an antiques emporium at the Maltings in Sawbridgeworth, ten minutes drive (you may bump into Posh and Becks). Also Battlesbridge antiques village can be found approx forty-five minutes away.
Places of interest:
Epping Forest is twenty minutes drive from us and offers beautiful walks and scenery along with Hatfield Forest, which is ten minutes drive. In Harlow you will find the Gibberd Garden and Cycle museum. Stansted Mount Fitchett castle can be found at, (yes you guessed it) Stansted Mount Fitchett and if you fancy dipping your toes, walking the pier or tasting ‘Ivy’s’ famous cockles then why not take a sixty-minute drive to Southend-on-Sea.

How to reach us:
Rail: Approx 40 minutes from London Liverpool street. Take Stansted or Cambridge train to Bishop’s Stortford then a ten-minute taxi drive.
Air: Stansted international airport is 7 miles away.
Road from South: Take M11 exit junction 7 (Harlow), take second exit (A414) into Harlow and go straight across three roundabouts. At fourth roundabout turn right and follow signs B183 Hatfield Heath. When you get to the Heath turn left and then right onto the A1060 and we are about ¼ mile down on the left. (Look for palm tree in pot)
Road from North: Take 2nd exit from junction 8 (A120) to Great Dunmow. At first main set of lights (Takely) turn right onto B183 to Hatfield Heath. When you reach the Heath turn left we are about ¼ mile down on the left. |
